Modeling A Tattoo Picture
A tattoo picture can be considered art, or at least artistic, whether it is just a photo of a tattoo or whether the tattoo is being displayed by the wearer. Modeling different tattoos is becoming more common as society takes a greater interest in tattoos and tattoo artists. Regular modeling is still regarded as hands off for anyone with conspicuous tattoos that are not easily covered by clothes and make-up. As a result, different forums are being created for people to display their modeling skills to celebrate their tattoos.
Modeling a tattoo picture for the camera is not particularly new, but before it was generally to give an image to people in tattoo shops to show them what a particular body tattoo would look like when finished. Now, some photographers are taking photos of models in much the same way that regular models are shot, but in a way that highlights and accentuates the tattoos so that they look beautiful. Clothing is arranged artistically, body parts are revealed to complement the tattoos, and the lighting is adjusted to create a flattering tone.
If you can provide a picture of a tattoo for a photographer, then that is one way to model. People with a number of tattoos over their body, especially large and colorful ones, will have a hard time obtaining modeling gigs. It is just too much work to hide the tattoos in most cases, and many standard modeling jobs for those starting out in the business are for department store clothing, and these companies often want to present a clean image to their customers. Tattoos are still seen as somewhat of a stigmata and removing tattoos would be the only way to get this kind of work with these companies.
For those who wish to model and have no photographer to take pictures of the inking they have had done, there is the option of modeling in contests. There are now different events set up where individuals with tattoos all over their bodies can model the designs and the winner receives a prize. These contests can be at a tattoo convention or can be a standalone event. Either way, they offer those with tattoos who wish to model a chance to do so.
A tattoo picture can be a beautiful thing, if done correctly. If you have numerous tattoos over your body and you wish to display the work, you do have a few options. There are lots of tattoo artists who do amazing work and would like to display what they have created, so there are opportunities to earn money as a model. That being said, there is not a great deal of demand for this type of work so making a good living as a tattoo model is unlikely.
